This is probably the coolest thing I've ever seen. It's AMAZING. And also quite huge.

Oh...It's sooo much bigger than what you see here!
Thank you very much.

Waow.
I'm too old to learn again physics, but I think I'd be much more interested if I had such a table.
I'll try to find some pupils who might enjoy it

Sounds great.
Hope they can benefit from it!

I think it could use a different background and more readable text in the title. Other than that though, this is amazing! Each and every one of your fractals are simply amazing. And I can tell this took a lot of work.
You deserve the DD.

Thank you very much.
I labored quite a bit over the text, font, and colors.
I do admit they could be done a bit better.
Thank you also for the suggestion!

Maybe a Black or light color would've helped.

woah your way better then I. I love all the elements.. now are you saying that they are blown up molecules of the actual element??
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
sragets In reply to ZSunsTragedy [2008-09-21 01:24:17 +0000 UTC]
How I wish I could be that accurate!
These are simply an artistic representation of what the actual elements look like.
Some are far closer than others.

sragets In reply to ZSunsTragedy [2008-09-22 16:17:35 +0000 UTC]
Well, for instance, Krypton was an easy one to visualize, as it has very clear and strong green and orange spectral lines.
On the flip side, elements such as Ununhexium which have only been seen once or twice, and aren't really even verified yet are much harder to determine. One has never been seen before, and is thought to be of a metallic nature, but currently is till unknown.

What a creative idea!
Must've taken quite a bit of research to accurately represent each element as a fractal
Congratulations!

Don't mind me asking, but what's your favorite element? Mine are Carbon and Arsenic (and Strontium-Chloride, duh)
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
sragets In reply to Strontium-Chloride [2008-09-21 03:06:40 +0000 UTC]
Of course carbon, it's just straight up awesome. (Organic chem anyone?)
And after that, I'd have to say cobalt.
Thanks for asking!
Why do you like Arsenic?

Strontium-Chloride In reply to sragets [2008-09-21 13:15:18 +0000 UTC]
Oo forgot about Cobalt. That's my favorite transition element.
Arsenic? Have you read The Periodic Table: Elements with Style? The Arsenic character wears a top-hat.

Yeah, it's just a silly little book for kids but the art is really cute. And has really info. I love it.
I think you can find it on the guy who illustrated it website
