Shuuichi Toguro: Hello! Am I even in the right row? I'm just so happy because I've been here 15 whole minutes and no-one has abused me or asked me to do their maths homework yet!

I decided to do a 500 pageviews Dev, even though I was up to 528 when I did this, almost 300 of which must be my own, and I hit on the idea of all the main characters I'd ever created in a somewhat dysfunctional huddle, having their photo taken at a barbeque. So I did eight of them, the quality of which inexorably dropping as I pressed on (I started with Frere-Sama and worked outwards, then onto the upper level, ending with Charlemagne, who looks like a surprised chicken). Then everything went horribly, horribly wrong:

I put in Timoteus, just below Frere-Sama, then had the idea of him bickering with Fe'Ra'Xs (the main villain from the Zorian Saga) over a kebab. Bad move. Not only was Fe'Ra'Xs horribly drawn, he didn't fit in with the others at all (I surrounded him with his usual dark aura, which came out as a horribly blotchy soup) and my continuation of Frere-Sama's torso mean he was leaning to the right. I then extended his arm to balance it out, then realised I no longer had the space to put a character below Shuuichi Toguro.

So I had him reaching for a bowl of Wotsits. I then had to draw in a table, cutting off the planned fourth row of characters, and Jacob Coen (who was to be directly below his older self) went so horribly wrong that I just gave up and chopped off the whole third row just below Frere-Sama's neck. It now looks terrible, with a row of heads sitting at the bottom of the page. Fortunately, I had this back-up scan which I did in a fit of paranoia earlier today, and after some digital chopping and changing, here it is. I never want to work on this drawing again. It took me about six hours, three hours of which was spent on the bit I cut off, screwed up and chucked in my bin, and it has completely sapped my enthusiasm for working with these characters. Bah.
