Description God, I love the quality of those- and especially Iris. She's so.. quirky, sweet and yet not too intrusive. Honestly: Before I met Luna in the game, I was actually kind of wanting Iris x Noctis to be a thing. Shhh... imagination ha'ha.

This image was done on a new screen I'm not used to yet. The colors might be a bit off, since I see it differently (I have an extra eye-care screen now, because of eye-issues), so please bear with me. That said, I hope you enjoy this. It was more of a test than actual full-person render. Hence the rather easy pose without any other characters on it. :shy:

Model from NightysWolf !
Please do not ask me for this model and respect that these won't be shared on Deviantart. Thank you so much ~

Always! I love your renders, girl! Well, whenever you do a NocxIris render expect to see a fav from me! Hm. I've been meaning to ask. You don't mind if people download your renders to use as wallpapers, right?

I too, feel like Iris and Noctis would have made a good couple. And I haven't forgotten that in the World of Ruin it was mentioned that Iris had gone on to become a Demon Hunter like Aranea. That sounds like a rather impressive transformation!

I hope you didn't use a BENQ screen before. They kill vampires at fabric settings. So bright.
For what is is worth, the colors look fine to me. I don't think you have anything to worry about with your new screen.

I was impressed by the clothes materials. The leather, the metal, the fabric. They look really nice.
Have you made particle hair again? It looks nice too

Since this is a test render, I'm going let the guy on my left shoulder have some words:

  • This pose, I think you got an error on the right arm. It looks like we can see her elbow stretch marks. We shouldn't be able to, because when the hand is rotated like this the stretch marks point upwards.

  • If you go from the chin to the cheek you'll come across an area that is shaded slightly darker (located under mouth corners). I believe this due to a too strong rotation of mouth bones.

  • If this model has elbow adjustment bones. Try to use her left ones to make the elbow turn a little sharper. This area of the elbow (the outside bend) is just skin over bones. Therefore the turn is always a bit sharp. If it is too rounded it is wrong. Most 3D models gets rounded elbows by default, so you need to jump in with the adjustment bones to fix it.

  • Shirt: The zipper is flying in the air.
Skirt: The torn edges are flying in the air.
(caused by subdivision maybe? can be fixed by splitting the mesh and reposition the flyaway parts)

All those mentioned points.. are valid!! I think I didn't pay as much attention since it was just a test but now that you point it out, I can see them.
That said: I am far from being 'good' so bear with me, for all the mistakes I make. I'll certainly try to continue improving and I am happy you point those things out to me, so I can pay more attention! Thank you, Sir.

As for the hair: Final Fantasy XV Models come with incredibly great hair. This is not particle. This is mesh- but because they are such high quality, the hair looks like particle either way, right? He.
Thank you so much for your comment!

Thank god for the new cycles settings, right? Shadow catchers... --- gives us shadows and lets us use photoshop backgrounds.
Thank you so much!!

xHolyxLightx In reply to Sreliata [2018-01-05 22:13:26 +0000 UTC]

Yeah i still got to learn shadow catching with more than just a 'flat surface' in blender lol but for that in and of itself, its a god-send xDDD you're very welcome by the way!

Sreliata In reply to xHolyxLightx [2018-01-05 23:07:16 +0000 UTC]

You can use whatever surface you want and then just mark that object as the shadow catcher, really.
Doesn't have to be flat. Works the same way.

xHolyxLightx In reply to Sreliata [2018-01-05 23:36:10 +0000 UTC]

You're right, trying to manipulate the surface to 'bend' the shadow is what im still trying to learn. But thats what practice is for right? Just have to keep working at it! I've got great inspiration -nudge nudge- lmao!!

Sreliata In reply to xHolyxLightx [2018-01-06 00:05:58 +0000 UTC]

Gotta be honest here: I didn't try it with different surfaces yet but I still.. am quite sure it'd work this way! IF you manage to do so, let me know alright?
