Yet another particle hair test I did. Admittedly, I only did it in the front so what you see there on the back, is still the mesh hair but I felt like sharing it with you anyway.
Please let me know if you feel I could do better- critique is welcome here.

It looks lovely. Really looks like Tifa from Advent Children. I mean like in the hair. It looks authentic. Not so much from the back, but that's okay. Hair is... painful to render well.

Have you tried the "interpolate" option?
Or increasing the amount of children as you modify the "clump" and "shape" values

Yeah I have, of course. But it's not the children that are the problem.
More so, the fact that that I'm posing strand by strand individually and that takes a lot of time.
Do you do it differently?

Well, honestly I don't know the process you use to comb hair, but I also pose them one by one.
It takes me something like 1-2 hours, that's why I got surprised it took you that much...
However my results are not as good as yours (like this beautiful masterpiece you've done) so it might be the difference, the effort I put on it xD

I think it also depends on the model.
This particular model just had so many mesh-strands that it took ages to get through them bit by bit.
It might be different with resident evil models.

With Ada it takes me from 1-2 hours, depending about the pose.
With Leon something like 1 - 1.5 h.
But just like you say, it's all about the models we're working with.
Hair styles, poses, perspectives, so on.

Zoinks... Im surprised how good these models can actually look. Just one small thing... her arm ribbon on her arm should be red. I cant remember if this wasnt in the game files though
