BAH. that took forever.Sadly making this tutorial took longer than the actual picture I made.
Please just ask if you have any questions. I'm to tired to put anything clever in this discription.

Hello :3
I know this tutorial is probably forever old, but how would you color your lineart if you already did it all in black?

This is awesome! And just in case anyone were to draw on the canvas by mistake like I did, one can select the drawing and copy it to new layer. :3

Um, I have a question
Is the Grainy Dry Thin Paint brushed supposed to fade out after a stroke?
How can you disable the fade?

Corel Painter Essentials is designed to mimic real painting. And it does a spot on job. I'm a professional painter, and the reason the canvas layer is like that is because the surface on which you paint has a TREMENDOUS effect on the outcome of the art. I actually enjoy the feature. It's not a "bug" so they don't need to fix it.... if you want to manipulate background layers just use photoshop. lol
GREAT tutorial btw.

I would like to do all this cool jazz, but for some odd reason, my layers screw up and i can't get the color layer to resemble a multiply layer.

This is helpful, but how do you do backgrounds? This is the only program I have and when I try to do backgrounds on it the colours one the lines and stuff changes. It's darker. I've tried changing the opacity, but that doesn't help.

I've read somewhere if you change the name of the canvas layer/background layer, it'll become moveable like a normal one. I dunno if it works with this Corel Painter but it works with Photoshop. :3 I Hope I could be some help. ^^'
Great tutorial btw. ;D

I know! I was rather disappointed. But, meh, I guess I shouldn't have expected so much when I did get the software free with my Wacom tablet. xD
