Description
A hypothetical "Advanced Civilization Mega Structure" that harnesses the entire potential of a stellar object - in this case "The Star of a solar system" for limitless energy.
" The concept is a thought experiment that attempts to explain how a space-faring civilization would meet its energy requirements once those requirements exceed what can be generated from the home planet's resources alone. Only a fraction of a star's energy emissions reach the surface of any orbiting planet. Building structures encircling a star would enable a civilization to harvest far more energy. "

Notes:
Part 1 of 4 of my new found series (Solaris Imperium)
( Solaris Imperium - Roughly Meaning "Solar Power" in Latin )
[Dyson Sphere - Current] - Dyson Swarm - Dyson Bubble - Dyson Shell)
First time making a legitimate sun lol (Thanks Elite: Dangerous - this game's sun textures are so MESMERIZING!)
I had the idea of making a Dyson Sphere when I played a Real Time Strategy game called Stellaris and it literally blew my mind when I first saw the Dyson Sphere.
I hope you guys'll enjoy this one.
Available for download (4k) - Cheers!
Have a superb day everyone! :]

Tools:
Photoshop CC
Resources:
Nebula + Stars
Dyson Sphere Texture
Process/Method:
I gotta say - so many steps that I got carpal tunnel from doing this, so I'll keep this as simple as possible.
Nebula + Star Photo as Background tuned with Layer Adjustments
Sun creation > Circle Marquee > White > Gaussian Blur > Color of choice > Gaussian Blur > Make your own pattern > Filter > Distort > Ripple 100%.
Dyson Sphere Texture > Make Hex pattern using Custom Shapes Tool (Master Layer Mask) (7 Hexagons arranged into a circular shape)(2 top, 3 middle, 2 bottom > Dupe the layer twice > Selected what would be the front layer > "Slightly Constructed the sphere using the pen tool" > Then Filter > Distort > Spherize > -100% for Rear Layer and +100% for Front Layer to achieve spherical effect. (Same effect applied to the Texture)
Lastly, added a bunch of overall layer adjustments and settings for the toning of light and dark balancing.
Absolute last, went to Filter > Other > High pass > to achieve a sharpened look.
P.S. Time to submerge my wrist into frigid ice water hahaha.
