This is a picture of my wife, , in her Princess Sailor Moon costume. She put up some information on her costume in this deviation , but I want to brag on her and on the amount of incredible detail she put into this costume.I cannot stress enough how many details there are on this costume. It is absolutely *insane* what the creators of PGSM did designing this monster. I'm pretty sure the sewing team in Japan went, "WT?!?!" when they saw what they had to do - I know we did. We spent --months-- going through pictures, collecting PGSM books and paraphernalia, scanning them, blowing them up, and sketching out this costume. We wanted to make this as accurate as we could. We got close, but there are STILL a few things Steph has to go back and fix.
In the meantime, to demonstrate how crazy this is... did you know that the lace is scalloped and has little crescent moons embroidered on them? To accomplish this, Steph had to buy a new sewing machine. She found one that had the exact stitch she needed, and she custom made all the lace you see on her costume.
And her boots? Those were once 2 different pairs of footwear - a boot and a "glass" sandal. She had to rip the heel of both pairs of shoes, and then reattach the clear heel to the boot. Plus, we learned a few lessons in creating your own strips of custom vinyl.
(That was kind of cool...) Anyway, while it's not *perfect*, I have to say she did a really damn good job on this costume. And she's already got a laundry list of what she's going to fix and touch up, so I'll be sure to post more pictures once she does. This costume is far from retired.

I think Naoko was offer her rocker when she designed this. It's pretty, but damn. Way too many details.

It was a lot of fun. Sadly, it's up for sale now. Both my wife and I have lost weight so neither of them fit anymore. Altering our costumes are damn near impossible, so we're hoping to find it a good home.
No, it's relevant. Yes, she did. This was before they sold pre-parted wigs, and my wife actually followed a tutorial and wefted the back.

Because we don't have room for it, and we'd rather see it go to a new home and help someone make new memories rather than collect dust on a hanger or be buried in the bottom of a cosplay tub.

To put a part in the back, yes. You can actually buy wigs that come pre-parted, but back then you couldn't. (Or, at least not good wigs.) So.. yeah. That's how you made ponytails.

she did an amazing job with her needlework. I give props for manipulating the shoes the way you did. That's one of the hardest things to do cosplay wise. Do you mind me asking how she fastened the pearls to the gloves?

Not at all. She strung the pearls on a wire, and then tacked them down at each corner of the glove.

Thank you very much! We have some on our website , but we're actually going to do some revamping on them. Both of us found some things we want to touch up (plus, my Endymion is now too big, as I have lost weight).
