Description Having only 4 days to think of a concept and photograph in a beautiful store, I took some simple photographs.
And although it was a rainy day at the shooting we had some very nice light coming in the store which gave this picture it's beauty.

Another fine example of classical femininity and ghostliness combined into modern architecture and space. On the inside is darkness, the classical and refined side of our subject's life, and on the outside is the world's light and modernity, enticing the innocent to come experience its chaos and fulfillment.

The black-and-white coloring forces the viewer to not absorb the scene but see it completely objectively.

The ghostly reflection, probably a serendipitous artifact, shows the pull of the human soul out of one's goodness and into temptation.

The contrast between the puffy texture of the blouse and the silky drapery of the skirt is Neoclassical in its adjacency and this is where the photograph's color lies. (In B&W photos, color effect can be achieved by textural contrasts and shifts.)

There is a deep emotional appeal in the subject's countenance: the face is obviously youthful and innocent, but her expression belies her age, as it is the expression of someone decades older. Something lost, or perhaps never gained, draws sympathy from the viewer, and the subject's modesty (legs held close together and hands placed under her form) doubles the compassion. The plainness of her hairstyle and the lack of jewelry or other affectations shows girlishness and innocence in its purest form. From what you've composed, i can see that she is a virgin (at least psychologically) that has not yet blossomed, probably because of her own inhibitions and goodness, waiting for her own time in the light...

I love your treatment of these themes in this and other similar photographs. You choice of black-and-white makes us see the aesthetic value rather than the experiential perspective, and there are fewer and fewer of these artist-photographers. You have a classical sensitivity that entices me to keep an eye on your gallery.

Don't be afraid to be picky about your shots.

Thank you for taking the time to look and comment to my photograph.

You look though every detail of a picture and I love that. I don't choose these kind of photographs often to show online, but only because it's done a lot. But the beauty which you describe so perfectly in this picture made me upload this photograph.
