I was manually rigging him when I realized that this is an issue
why is the mesh like that and is there a way to fix it?

You should use Mixamo to rig it by yourself

Nearly done with him now. Are there many other characters in this game that look good too? I just tried looking for it on the Play store but it's not there. Maybe it's just stupid Australia where I live

I guess this app is exclusive for Google Pixel devices only..
Some look good like this one and Okoye, some are sorta with dull textures like Endgame Captain Marvel
