Overall a nice piece, you've integrated the "creature" into the environment well, considered lighting and all that. However, the fact that his body is in motion while his torso and tail are perfectly still makes it look awkward.
Maybe find a horse that is just standing and use its body.

I like it, for some reason I'm fascinated by the tail of the centaur it looks so "magical".
I think it could look a bit off because of the size of the guy compared to the horse, but its such a tiny difference, barely noticeable IMO.
