I only take credit for the jokes I mainly come up with and for the work of carefully selecting and putting the images together. I like the simplicity of the god form. I'm glad they didn't go over the top and add more hair and muscles and lightning like they did with ssj2 and 3

People forget, if Toriyama WANTED it to be over the top, he could have let them make it over the top. He could have let them make it as ridiculous as SSJ4. Toriyama took matters into his own hands, designed the form how HE wanted, and it looks great

He did just fine with the God form; I've said this before, and i'll say it again, Toriyama did not want it to be over the top. This wasn't the first design for the SSJG, the original design was a cross between SSJ3 and SSJ4 with real bulky muscles and a cape.
Toriyama didn't want this, and changed it the moment he got a hold of it to what we see here now. Wanna know why this fits? What's the one thing we've seen in DBZ BoG that's notable about Beerus?
We can't sense his ki. In fact, Vegeta mentioned being unable to sense Shin's ki in the Boo saga in the manga. You can't sense the ki of a God, and yet almost all of them, BEERUS especially, are far stronger than their looks would suggest. The same applies to Super Saiyan God. It's a subtle kind of power; it's not meant to look inherently threatening or over the top, but when the power is unleashed, it's a different story entirely.
Also, Kaio-ken was made by a deity.
SSJG turns Goku INTO A deity.
Both are red.

I know, but I think Akira Toriyama could've at least gave him blue hair. That would kinda separate people from thinking it was a Kaioken. I still like the transformation, but I think Akira could've done something... a little less Kaioken-like.
Plus, I hear in Revival of Frieza, Vegeta will be a SSJG (Blue hair or something like that) and a fusion between SSJG Goku and SSJG Vegeta.

Blue isn't Goku's colour though. Goku's colour, from the moment he joined the turtle school, has always been in the red family. Even his blue outfit at the end of Z was just...weird. I've always associated Goku with red and orange; giving him blue hair would just be weird. People complain too much; if you don't like the form, don't watch the flick.
And that's a rumour until it's confirmed, anyway. People WANT that to happen but there's no guarantee.

I actually quite enjoy the Super Saiyan God design, and people keep missing something about it. One of the original designs for SSJG was a ridiculous one; bulky muscles, with a cape, and with a hairstyle in-between Super Saiyan 3 and Super Saiyan 4. Toriyama, however, took control and changed the design to be similar to his normal state. And I appreciate this. The Super Saiyan God design actually makes him slightly less bulky; it's a subtle kind of power. Just like how those below the threshold of Godhood cannot sense the chi of a God because their powers are in an entirely different dimension, the viewer cannot perceive the power of Goku's SSJG state from looks alone. It's when the form goes into action that we truly see what it can do, and we're impressed. Toriyama knew what he was doing.

I hope that rumor is real.. I will LOVE to see Vegito! (Because either Whis or Beerus can 'split them up', who knows?) There's 40% for Gogeta because that might make the movie 'un-canon' to the storyline where Akira's going. Either it'll make 'Fusion Reborn' 'canon' (but the movie has so many plot holes against the storyline) or the make Vegeta learn the fusion for the past 3 years, which is really, really out of his character. I put in 'canon' here as what is real or a filler to the original storyline.
I think if the 'Strongest Fusion' as a god really appears, we might have to get ready for Vegito than Gogeta. But then that's a theory.

Utilizing Gogeta won't render the movie uncanon. Goku and Vegeta, canonically in the Boo Saga, discussed the possibility of using the Metamorese Art of Fusion to fight Boo. Goku was all for it, Vegeta was raring against it, but the fact of the matter remains they discussed and considered it. Vegeta stated he saw the entire dance from the afterlife, and it's "not fit for a Saiyan warrior". So including Gogeta wouldn't jeopardize the canon of the movie. And given the permanent nature of the Potara, Gogeta is more likely to appear than Vegito.

Well, it's confusing since the show itself have said that learning Fusion is longer to master. But I don't know. I'm looking forward to see Vegito more unless they can't be separated then Gogeta, you better come out before things starts to get downright. But to be honest there are possibilities where the gods stronger than Kais themselves like Whis and Beerus who might be able to split Vegito, but that's for you reason, I have mine.
And to be honest I have no idea why I brought up that stupid canon logic stuff, but I can be messed up myself.

The movies are considered alternate timelines (not counting Battle of the Gods, and maybe another 1, or 2) last time I checked, so they are technically canon. Gogeta can always be used without something being considered non-canon, it's just that they've never used him in the main timeline (well, they did when GT was canon, but it isn't anymore).

He's a tailless Saiyan. A Saiyan's tail doesn't regrow past a certain age, random transformation or not. (Do not cite GT, that's filler). If Goku had a tail at the time of transformation, that'd be a different story.

Kaio-ken was a technique made by a god. Super Saiyan God literally transforms Goku into a God. It makes sense. And I don't find it lazy because Toriyama HAD other choices; there was an original design that he simply didn't like. So he went with a design that suited him. I love how everyone forgets this is Toriyama's series and he can go what he wants. He could give Goku a rack and none of us would be allowed to question it. It'd be RIDICULOUS, but he can take his series in the direction he wants. And when he makes a decision that isn't even bad, I don't see a reason to complain. This wasn't a movie Toriyama was obligated to make; he wanted to please the fans after the fiasco that was Dragon Ball evolution, so this became his latest project. And then we have idiots who sit here and pick at the pointless things like the details of a transformation we're probably only seeing once (twice if Vegeta can get to it too).
Hell, Super Saiyan 4 looks fucking ridiculous, let's start bitching about instead. It gives every Saiyan some guyliner and turns them into a furry fangirl's wet dream. I prefer this glorified Kaio-ken to the shit GT handed us.

There's a difference between creativity and just designing bullshit. SSJ4 is based on a goddamn doodle Toriyama did. Toriyama a chance to go balls to the wall with Super Saiyan God; they HAD a ridiculous design ready (bulky muscles, cape, hair a cross between SSJ3 and SSJ4) but Toriyama declined that and did it how he wanted to do it.

I still believe Toriyama was right to make the decision the way he wanted to do it, and SSJG is currently my favorite transformation. I enjoy how subdued it is. And "flat-out gay"? Really now? You couldn't have used...any other word?

my vocabulary is just fine thank you, as for the design of SSJG Goku, it seems to me that they rushed it rather than sitting down and deciding which one was best for the job, sorta like the game Destiny, they could've done a WHOLE lot better than what they had on the table at the time.

Your beliefs are meaningless to me; the fact of the matter remains. A god that can walk among humans without standing out is preferred to a god that looks utterly ridiculous. If God was to walk among us looking like Cthulhu, it wouldn't take.
