I just watched the Sailor Moon Crystal (remake) on youtube, and it's WAY better than the 90s anime. The characters and the style look exactly like in the Manga version. So, I wanted to draw Maria Robotnik the Hedgehog as Sailor Moon. I added the pigtails for those red things on her head. She looks so cute! I love this piece!Hope you like it!

Right. I remember reading about how much it really pissed off the manga writer when Japan itself changed things without her consent, and America was no better. She did not mind them updating to today's technology, like instead of a Walkman it was a iTunes. The last season of Sailor moon was way different also from the source material. But I personally think she was more pissed off with America changing Sailors Uranus and Neptune from lesbians into kissing cousins, which sounds like an insult to the LBGT rights of today.

I'll take a look at the first episode but it will be hard for me not to compare it to the original because I actually like the original.
