Hey, an obscure I actually know about! Sadly, I don't have any first-on experience with his games. To tell you the truth, when I fixed up that Xbox 360, I was thinking about looking for some old Xbox games... and Blinx 1 and 2 were both at the top of my list. Even back when his games were new, I was always curious about him and his games... I suppose it's never too late.
You know, I heard Blinx was going to be the mascot for the Xbox. While I can't say if he'd be worthy of a position so big, I do think he has a fine character design. Could he have survived the test of time? I suppose we'll never know what could have been... but either way, maybe someone will come along and give him one last 'hurrah'? It's possible... who knows?
Anyhoo, I think you did a great job on the character. This alone makes me want to go track down his games even more.

Mascot assignments are a peculiar affair. I would have thought that Blinx would be an easy sell for the post, particularly considering that the XBOX has no viable mascot candidates. I suppose Microsoft geeks will argue for Master Chief, but it's hard to show much character from beneath an opaque face shield. Having just read a couple of articles about the first game, I think Blinxy could use another shot.
Thanks for the looks! I'm thinking of doing another personal favorite with Alex Kidd, the potential Sega mascot before Sonic rushed in. Another deviant who was big on Little Prince Alex did some GREAT art of him, but I don't know if that artist is still around.

Despite playing neither Blinx or Halo, I far prefer our favorite time-warping feline hero, as opposed to some soldier in armor that probably looks near-identical to other soldiers.
But, considering the nature of most gamers, who prefer the more dark and violent side of gamers, they probably wouldn't accept someone like Blinx... So it's no surprise they'd prefer Master Chief... A shame, really.
