I noticed that most of my characters either follow a blue, red or a blue/red color scheme. So I decided to make a purple one~ (because blue+red = purple ehehehe)

Expect a lot of nervous laughter, twiddling of thumbs and stammering. She’s much more expressive on paper and over the computer than in real life.

★ Good listener, but bad advice giver.
Whatever problems that a friend may have, they can go to her and she’ll listen to everything they have to say. You can trust her with secrets as well. Just, don’t ask for or listen to any advice from her. Just, don’t. She’s socially awkward. Would you really trust a socially awkward person’s life skills?

★ Stubborn, one tracked mind but reliable.
Hyuna is not good at compromise when she is on the job. Once she’s told what she’s supposed to do, she does not stray from her task and will get it done as specified. When someone tries to ad-lib or change anything, she will start butting heads with others, bringing out her ‘not-so-pushover’ side.

★ Jealous, possessive and self deprecating.
Insecurity and issues with abandonment are where these traits come from. When Hyuna sees someone she cares about (love interest, bestfriend, family) becoming well acquainted with someone she doesn’t know, she becomes a green eyed monster. She hates it when girls hang to her brothers more than her and she hates it when she’s left alone. It’s during those periods when she becomes highly critical of herself. For the most part, these traits don’t surface. They simply simmer dangerously beneath the surface.

★ Birth – 11 years old:
Hyuna was born to two loving fathers from a surrogate mother. She was a healthy little baby with locks of ink black hair. Only problem was, she was born without her right arm. Growing up, she was taught to call her biological father, her ‘father’ and call his partner ‘uncle’ when in public. Although there have been many strides in gay rights in the past few years, there are still many who keep to the traditional lifestyle and scorn those do not. Although she was able to keep the fact that her parents were a couple (despite rumors), she was still treated differently. She assumed it was due to her crude rendition of a prosthetic arm that made others tread lightly on any subject when around her (It was two cylinders strapped together with a hook like mechanism fixed to the end). Everyone was nice to her, but it was more of a shallow sort of niceness that felt like a form of ostracization. She was able to make friends, but she was never really close to them and figured, if she kept quiet and went along with what they wanted, they would forget about her deformity and treat her like any other kid. Ever since kindergarten, Hyuna’s parents would make her try out for plays and pay for her acting classes, hoping that their daughter would become more animated and less insecure about herself. The also started voice lessons as well as piano lessons --though she could only play with her left hand and plunk out a few notes with her right.
★ 12 years old:
27th June, 2024. Smack dab in the middle of the rainy season was when tragedy struck. Her fathers who commuted to and from work together, were driving along the highway during a storm. When taking a curve, their car hydroplaned and skidded into the path of an oncoming truck. They were killed on impact. Seeing as Hyuna had no other living relatives (as her fathers had been disowned for their sexual orientations and her surrogate mother already had several children of her own and couldn’t afford another), she was put into foster care.
★ 13-14 years old:
Within the nine months of being in foster care, she’d been the foster child to two families. They were nice people, but they weren’t prepared for a deformed child with as much emotional baggage as her. Not to mention the fact that she was not used to having a mother and would often times have a falling out with the woman of the family. By the time she entered her third family, she didn’t expect them to keep her very long. But they did. This family was rich, musical and situated in the city of Itaewon (Seoul, South Korea). The father was a violinist, the mother was singer while the two sons played the drums and guitar respectively. Though none do so professionally, more as a hobby. Year, 2026. The rainy season had come once again, along with the terrible reminders of her parent’s deaths. During this time Hyuna would lock herself in her room every time a storm were to hit and curl up against the covers. Her foster parents had been warned of this behavior, but instead of leaving her alone like the other two families had, they would start singing or playing instruments by the doorway till the storm passed. It took a few weeks of this before she finally became receptive to her foster family and eventually opened up to them. She became especially close to the mother as she would be the one to comfort her the most. By the end of that year, they adopted her. Though she kept her original surname.
★ 15-17 years old:
Not too long after Hyuna was adopted, her new parents invested in a new prosthetic arm that allowed her the ability to control her ‘fingers’ through thought as the arm’s control system had been surgically implanted into her nervous system. Though, she’s often cover it up by wearing long sleeved shirts and gloves, or a full arm glove. During this time, she took up acting once more along with piano and violin lessons. She picked up the guitar from her adoptive brother who is five years her senior (Tae-Hyun). Her social awkwardness was always a problem for her throughout high school due to the fact that she was always extremely attached to her brothers and didn’t bother to socialize with others.
★ 18 years old:
Fresh out of high school, Hyuna is in search for a job that would allow her to pay for her college tuition. She couldn’t work during high school as that was against the rules. She could have opted for a different highschool, but leaving the side of her brothers was a big ‘no-no’ as she hated the idea of living closer to campus or driving an hour to school. Although her family is more than willing to pay for everything, she refused to rely on them, wishing to become more independent. Though, most jobs required some work experience and some sort of diploma --which she did not have. That was, until she heard of “Jacheong Agency” (after weeks of googling). With nothing else to lose, why not try her luck?

Hyuna’s original parents, both of whom had gotten married in Las Vegas, America despite their parents’ threat of cutting them off. Although they did not live a traditional lifestyle, they brought up their daughter to be traditional. Respectful of elders, etc. These two met in their teens, struggling with their sexuality and social pressures to be normal. They only became a couple in their twenties and got married in their thirties. It was a year later before they found a woman who was willing to be a surrogate mother (as she had been in dire need of cash at the time).
★ Seo Su-Bin (Adoptive Mother) and Seo Hyo (Adoptive Father)
Hyuna’s adoptive parents. These two met in college. Both were in the medical field. She studied pediatrics while he took up dentistry. Married after a year of dating and had their first child, Seo Shin Jae, a month after Seo Hyo got his job offer. Seo Tae-Hyun came along two years later. Due to complications after their second son’s birth, Seo Su-Bin couldn’t have any more children. But she’d always wanted a girl. So, they entered the foster care program. Then, Hyuna came along. As the children were growing up, both parents continued to work. Only, Su-Bin opted for less hours and stayed home more. Only when Hyuna turned 16 did she start working full time. It was her adoptive father that inspired her to pick up the violin.
★ Seo Shin Jae (25, Adoptive Brother)
Hyuna’s adoptive brother who is seven years her elder. He’s currently working for his master's degree in medicine. When Hyuna first came into the family, he was very accepting of this new little sister and is trying to teach her how to play the drums. They’re very close and he’s the one she would always go to every time she’d get into a fight with Tae-Hyun.
★ Seo Tae-Hyun (23, Adoptive Brother)
Hyuna’s adoptive brother who is five year her elder. He’s currently taking his bachelor's degree in graphic designing instead of medicine. When Hyuna first came into the family, he did not like her. Or rather, he had(has) a crush on her and chose to be a jerk to her (Blame puberty).They’ve gotten better, but do bicker often, especially when playing video games with each other.

Dear Rachel Lee,

To be honest, I’m very awkward and have no real work experience. But, I can teach. Though it isn’t much, I’ve taught children at a local kindergarten how to play the piano. I’m sure I can teach a client how to play an instrument to impress the person they like. Plus, as an actor, I can help them with their mannerisms and keeping a straight face.

If doing what I love can help others find happiness, then that’s just perfect! (Plus, I do need the money to pay for college… Ehehe.)

Although I lack confidence in my people skills, I am confident that I will deliver results. I’ll stick to a task no matter what and will see it to the end.

Paragraph: This takes place when she’s just turned 14.
Hyuna: Brown eyes glanced outside the water coated window, narrowing at the overcast sky. “Great… it’s come again…” she muttered, sighing at the end of her sentence. It seemed that every year, June 30th would creep up on her without her knowing it. Her birthday. She didn’t particularly like her birthday. Not because of who she would celebrate it with, but because of how depressing the event was. With each passing year, it seemed that the rain only grew heavier and the sky, gloomier. Though, out of all her birthdays, her 13th birthday, her transition into teenhood, was the worst. She recalled eating her ‘cake’ (a pity cupcake from a janitor), while situated in between the closed caskets of her parents. She didn’t have the fondest memories of it. Swinging her legs off the side of her bed, Hyuna quietly headed down the stairs for a bite to eat, hoping to avoid bumping into any of her foster family. It was just as she reached the bottom of the stairs that she was greeted with a loud; “SURPRISE!!”

Hyuna:*She stood outside The Agency's doors, staring up at the building in quiet awe. She rocked back onto her heels, craning her neck to read the company logo before glancing down at the address she'd scrawled onto a crumpled sheet of paper. Taking in a deep breath, she exhaled.* Well, today's the day. *With one finger she traced the words 'don't screw up' on her hand three times before pressing her palm to her lips, 'swallowing' the words.* Alright. I can do this. *Though, she didn't sound as confident as she would have liked.*

Because my friends coercedasked me to join--////SLAPPED. Well, more like, I was interested in the group because I thought it was a fun idea, then my friends gave me that extra push.
