There's a few things different on this redraw than on the original.
For starters the detail, lighting, and shading is much better than before. It looks more natural than before. The image is also larger and closer.
The most notable changes (For characters) are on Winter. You can see that her belt is gone and bare feet have taken the place of her brown boots. (I guess sense this is there home they aren't really needed. I've never seen RWBY so I wouldn't know for sure this it there home.) Also her legs are thinner to regular girl proportions and not that of a slightly thick lady and her pants have much less wrinkles on them. The cloth on her hand is much less red than in the other but that's probably because the side she's cleaning her sister's face with is completely red with blood.
On Weiss you can see the cut on her face is much less straight and clean looking and her face may be swelling up a bit along with there being more blood on her face. Two drops of blood have dripped from her cut face onto her shoulder telling me the cut was not a shallow one. Her left hand is covering her right and not the other way around legs are crossed and not going straight downwards. Her feet are also more detailed than before. (Toes are at regular human proportions to her feet and not as short and stubby as before, her feet have less of a rectangular shape and a more natural foot shape I can even tell she has arches, and her toenails are just better drawn and visible.) Her dress also has a more blue and white fading gradient and the gold embroidery is much more elegant and complex.
Their eyes are shinier and less cartoony looking and there is no longer any text. You just let their more detailed facial expressions do the talking.
Overall this is a great image it shows that as sisters they will take care of each other despite seemingly cold natures. I will be keeping it in faves.

Thank you! Didn't think anyone cared enough to actually look that hard at the changes, haha. I'm glad you like it!!

You're welcome.
So what do you think about the stuff I pointed out? What was your reasoning for changing that stuff?
Were there changes that I missed? If so would you feel like pointing it out?
I'd love to hear your side of things!

You were pretty spot on! My reasoning was mostly just,, "I have more skill as an artist now than I did when I first drew this 2 years ago, I'm gonna try to make it look a bit more natural" haha.
I think the biggest things I wanted to change were the poses, I hope that this time around the girls actually look like they're sitting down rather than awkwardly floating near the bed lol, along with some weird anatomy things--like you mentioned Weiss's feet and scar, and Winter's legs--I was hoping to correct a bit.
(there are also areas in the original where I got a bit lazy with the lines and perspective of the background that I wanted to improve as well, haha)
I think the one thing you didn't mention was Weiss's hair being down. If I remember correctly, I wanted it to seem more like she was with someone who she's comfortable being vulnerable around... Or something along that reasoning. (Certainly not because her hair was quicker and easier to draw down... Although that definitely made things easier lmaoo)

1.) Well that is a reason why a lot of "draw it again" images do exist. To show their developed skill. L like when artist do those. Not only does it show they can nearly recreate an old work but how they improved and how their style changed.
2.) Looking at it now I guess they did look like they're floating on a centimeter of air or at the very least sitting at the edge of the bed and not on the bed. I think you did great with that along with fixing their human anatomy to look more human. (Well as human as anime characters go.) Winter did have the legs of a slightly overweight person with the upper body of a healthy woman in the last one.
3.) My goodness! I didn't even notice Weiss's hair being down instead of in a ponytail. How could I have been so blind?! I also see her jewelry is shinier too.
But beside that point you did make it seem to capture a sense of comfort and willing vulnerability between the sisters. Like some of Weiss's clothes being spread around her bed. (Her discarded cloth belt, sleeve shrug, boots, jewelry and purse. Though this was in both images.) Also with Winter not having her own belt or boots on, showing that this is not only her home and doesn't need those items but she is also more comfortable around her younger sister and can too show some vulnerability when she needs to show it. Like something Weiss can lean on in times of need. I guess that's why you decided to remove them in the second image.
