Basically all I do is scan the pencil sketch in, then drop it into Flash and ink a new layer on top of it using a tablet. Part of the reason it looks so smooth and clean is that Flash will smooth out your lines as you draw them with the brush tool. Personally I find Flash to be a pain in the butt but I love the results! >__<

So yeah, there's no automated tool that turns the pencil sketch into an inked one. You could ink a drawing on paper, scan it in, and then have Flash do that... *VGCScott used to do that with his stuff at one point... not sure if he still does it that way.

I see. I occasionally use a tablet for my drawings but I'm not quite used to it. Usually just a pen and a scetchbook. right now I use Open canvas. I also have Photoshop CS3. But is there a tool you would reccomend for Drawing and such? other than the ones I have of course.

Do you mean drawing straight onto the computer? I've done sketches right in Photoshop or Flash before and gotten pretty good results after inking, but I can't say there are any tools I use differently for that.

I see. Well I guess it would be easier to sketch and then ink later in another program.

Ah, okay... What was I thinking of? Anyway, if I ever get a 360, it's gonna be all about Halo 3 first, but this seems like something I would like.
