This is, in a nutshell, how I paint my long fur. I whipped it up last night and it's a rather quick job but you get the idea I see so many artists (and tutorials) use fur brushes and although it can have some really pretty effects, it usually comes out looking more fantasy-ish than realistic. This is a tutorial about how to paint more textured realistic fur (or hair) with lots of scribbling! Yay!

Keep in mind it's supposed to look fairly terrible up-close -this style is to be used on very large canvas sizes that need to be resized by at least 50%.
