This photo was taken in Disney World on The Great Movie Ride sometime in July of 2006. I went on the ride a number of times and the Wizard of Oz part of it always appealed to me. It was nice to see the movie come alive and almost become a part of it. The colors were so vivid and the details so capturing. But, something at the very beginning of the ride caught my eye. It was the ruby red slippers, something someone else might not really pay much attention to. Sure, they're an important part of the story but many don't realize that. After going on this ride a few times, I decided that I needed to take a photo of the ruby red slippers. I was finally able to capture a decent shot and after going back to look at it tonight, I decided to do some very minor adjustments by taking out all the background coloring and making only the slippers themselves colored. I believe it captures the importance of the slippers to the whole story of the Wizard of Oz.
