Um yeah Im kind of embarassed and heartbroken right now about this picture. THe night I drew what you see before you now was a school night, and i stayed up really late because I had been wanting to draw a pic from the music video for a long time, and I finally got around to it. The next morning I go to show my dad and hes like "HE like like he's in pain, why'd you choosed that expression? The school doesnt want a bunch of headshots, they want full body shots. I don't like it ( yes he flat out told me that) SO now ive got like no support on this picture, and i like it, i think its a decent likeness. I would have torn it up, but you know, i have already put like 5 hours into it (yes im a slow drawer) I drew this for MYSELF, not for the school. I also chose to draw this screenshot since the perspective is difficult, the mouth is open (never done that before), and i felt like a needed a do over from my first Gerard pic, i just wasnt satisfied with the way it was going. Im going to keep drawing this and put everything i have into it, heart, mind, and soul. I feel embarassed because i have a bunch of other wips i need to finsh and now im posting another one.PS- yes not much detail, but i think i have the main stuff down good, I mean HEY i drew BOTH eyes!
EDIT-ok so im not finishing this...found out after a while the face was too wide. But i promise to make it up to you guys. Im too lazy to delete stuff from my last comment.

Don't care about what others say and don't do what others want. If you enjoy drawing, that's normal that you don't always do what they ask you in the school, you can draw whatever you want if you want to and when you want to. This drawing is very pretty and you can feel the heart that you put on it, so feel well and satisfied because you deserve it

Oh my.. see you have captured the emotion perfectly. The way you have drawn the eyebrows and the way the eyes are looking out, with the correct emphasis on the depts in the eye sockets, completely puts across what you feel when you watch him in the video. I think you are very talented and don't listen to people who do not know about art and artistic expression (whether they are related to you or not!). It bugs me that people can say such unencouraging things that make you want to rip your art up >
I could say that you could put more detail in but sometimes the simplicity makes it more pure. (most of Rembrandt's sketches were like that!) You have captured what you needed to capture, and that is what is important.
Keep up your good work and don't let ANYONE discourage you or I will be angry!!

Thank You SOO Much! The weird thing is, im working on this and another almost exactly like, only his eyes are more open, which i like. I don't know why i'm doing 2 very similair ones but I just feel for it. Do don't worry I will be putting more detail, this pic is just the lines.
