Shore leave is over and the crew of USS POTEMKIN return to a refurbished ship and new uniforms. My OCs by s2ka.deviantart.com/ . Lt. Kelly Okoye wears the gold tunic of Command section, Lt. Ava Lehmann wears the red of Operations, Lt.jg. T'Var wears the blue of Life Sciences, and Lt.jg. Gabriella Gutierrez wears the red tunic of Security Services.

The ladies like the new uniforms especially because they have the option of a dress or pants. The new color scheme and the new insignia for the ship are a pleasant surprise. The new rank insignia will take a little time to get used to. The interior of the POTEMKIN has been refit in certain areas such as the bridge, main medical, and the transporter rooms. The ship is scheduled for a full refit in the future.

Now however, USS POTEMKIN's next mission is to patrol the new Klingon Neutral Zone after escorting transport ships carrying Starfleet engineers to several Federation starbases that had been overrun by the Klingons during the war. The Klingons have vacated these bases and the damage they caused has to be repaired. After that the POTEMKIN, along with several other smaller starships will patrol the long, newly created neutral zone on the UFP side.

Starfleet had taken a beating during the 2256/2257 war. 1/4 of the Federation had been overrun and many starships and crews have been lost. Time is needed to replace these losses and vigilance along the two neutral zones will buy that time. Exploration missions for the crew of POTEMKIN will have to wait for awhile.
