Thanks for the kind words. One thing I love about DSC is that I don't think about it when I draw up one of the challenges. It's not like my regular work where I'm trying to figure out shots, layouts, or designs. I just go with the flow and let whatever happens happen.
I'm pleased that you like 'em, considering I just fire from the hip when I do these. Gives me some confidence that maybe I am doing something right after all.

The pose and composition are pretty standard and if you look at most of my DSC entries I tend to favor easy shots without getting too fancy to help keep my time down. I'm a hack like that!
When I try a new pose or perspective, something I don't do very often or that I need to lay down some serious guidelines for it can take quite a bit of time.
So once I rough out the main forms adding the more rendered linework is a breeze and really quick. They just tend to look alot busier than they actually are.

the blade in the foreground is tops for the composition....everything else is pretty sweet too.

I re-visited the object in extreme foreground layout again like in the Daredevil piece for speed's sake. My initial rough had her posing all sexy in Freddy Krueger's claw/glove but I thought it was too over the top and ambitious for a quick sketch so I went with this shot instead.
I might draw up the other version later just for kicks or maybe for a future sketchbook. That's what I dig about DSC, not only do I get to have some fun for a few minutes a day but I also get inspired by all the other great art and the ideas that stem from the topics that are chosen for us to draw.
