Description
With a sarcastic laughShe turns back her heel
Holding back tears
As if it’s no big deal.
Out of their sight
Her armour is gone
Shattered in silence
At lost and beyond.
As she walks on
It starts to rain
Soon her soul cracks
Absorbing the pain.
Images flash
As voices mock loud
Shivering for comfort
And no longer proud.
Replaying over and over
Mind a film without sound
For once it’s her in agony
Not the other way round.
A headache forms
She blinks back tears
Not sure why she’s feeling
Like cutting short years.
The damage is minimal
But one scar cuts deep
Misery wells up cruelly
Whilst consciousness bleeds.
Step by baby step
She walks down the line
Self destructing in silence
Dumb, deaf but not blind.
Difficulty inhaling
In broad daylight she breaks
Lost for the moment
No more smiles to fake.
Bloodshot eyes blink slowly
Her lips open to scream
So fast her world has fallen
Only it’s not a bad dream.
