What's the point of putting a content warning on a stamp? It just makes the whole thing a censor box, and then no one will ever use it, or likely fav it. And then who gives a fuck what your stamp said?If you're making a stamp with an opinion on it, or the language is offensive, then just let the people have it. You won't get banned or flamed or ridiculed. And if it's explicit material you're posting, 1) why the hell are you making it a stamp, and 2) you probably deserve to have it deleted anyway for not following the ToS.
This isn't a children's site. You can say fuck and not get in trouble. :/

It depends on what the content is.
Of course, you shouldn't be putting the mature content warning on things like stamps, but I can see if you're going to do this on artwork.
For instance, one of the drawings I've submitted has a pretty large amount of blood in it, which makes sense, but censoring a drawing just because it says a swear word..? No, this isn't a kids' site, it states explicitly that it's for ages 13 and up, but that doesn't necessarily mean it's an 18+ site either.

The "think of the children" excuse always struck me as dumb. DeviantART pretty much doesn't let anyone underage view mature content, and I'm not going to censor something for someone who shouldn't even be looking at it. If you want to lie about your age, you have to get the full extent of what that entails.

Read the artist's comments, please, so next time you don't entirely miss the point.
This stamp isn't about not censoring anything, it's about not censoring stamps. There is a plethora of distasteful, offensive stuff on this site, and by all means, give them all a warning. But it doesn't make sense to sensor a stamp. Ruins the entire point.

I agree, but one of my stamps was actually -forced- to have a mature warning because someone reported it as "needing one".
I can understand if a stamp has cursing or gore on it-- after all, there are younger people surfing DA-- but agreed, I think people should just learn to cope with the fact that not everyone thinks alike when it comes to opinionated/controversial stamps.

Ahah, aye. It's just... oye. So upon receiving the report, DA staff made sure the stamp had an "ideologically sensitive" warning. Agreed: bullshit's a good word for that. To make matters worse, I know of much more offensively stated opinions on DA stamps than the one I had censored.

I think the biggest fear dA has is getting sued, and that's why they let any report from some butthurt crybaby become cause for censorship.
But that's just me. :/
