Lmfaooo yeah I am the same one 😂 that was a mess honestly because their terrible platform didn’t allow me to say more in my caption, so despite crediting sakimichan literally everywhere else, I didn’t have room to in the original caption and no one reads the comments tbh. So I left it, and was like “if they want me to credit, they can ask me to repost and I will be happy to do so- and it’s credited everywhere else so I should be okay.” And it was up for a few months too, it was on the site for a while before anything happened. But then they continued to NOT ask me to credit (not a single message or comment) and instead made that stupid post that imploded the whole site instead of PMing me or commenting on the post itself 😂 they could have also just... deleted the post? They have the right to if it violates the rules. I read the fandom wiki thing where they literally credit me for destroying the site and I’m like fammm that’s not it I literally did nothing it was all their own making 👁👄👁

Yeah. It was shorter than twitter for sure, cuz even I had issues using PW's description box. I would just right "for more details, visit my Deviantart Profile" <.<
I joined in 2015 or 2016 (i don't remember) cuz one of the staff emailed me several invites, and after a few months I stopped using it that much and then completely stopped when after I posted Luna Sage in 2017, so I was completely unaware of this entire madness until today XD

But if you don't have the time, in a nut shell, the Rohricks gave their daughter Paige money to create and Art app for her to share her content and network with Artists (like how DA is asked some friends to help her manage it), but for whatever reason, she stopped showing up to the app (around the same time I lost most interest too) and her dad Preston (who sadly doesn't understand art, much less I guess his daughter since she's an artist too), decided to take over for her. He generally dislikes sakimichan's and her art - (that much is obvious) I don't her either cuz her art isn't my cup of tea, but I don't hate her as much as Preston does o.o -  cuz every chance he got he kept trying to drag her name in the mud - like saying her work "isn't original" and "if she could copy someone eles's ideas as her own, then it's ok if others copy her and the ideas she makes since none of it is original", because he also has a bias against fanart abit (which probably explains why Paigee only had OC Art and nothing but.) He kept saying your img was "original" and there was "nothing wrong with it", (so I got confused cuz you finished your practice in November 2017 and Saki was in October 2017 <.< I thought that was weird how he didnt know the time stamps to the works in question.)

From what I can tell, ALL staff except Preston agreed that you should credit cuz you used heavy reference to her fanart of Gerudo Link bbbbbbbbbbuuuuuttttt Preston refused to accept (cuz he thinks referencing is tracing - including if you do drawings from observations from live studies ie he thinks as well that if you are to be an Artist, you should draw 100% from your head - yet be good/perfect/accurate ar the same time <.<) AND since he's the "boss man" (cuz he is the head of the app and the one who originally paid for the app to be made for his daughter as a birthday present), everybody's decision was completely over ruled - hence why they never did anything and all the drama you may have seen happened and one by one the staff quit, leaving Preston alone to run the entire app.

Imagine, this man is 30, 40 or 50 and he thinks like that and has money to do as he pleases o.o I feel sorry for Paigee tbh, cuz I mean...it kinda feels like he's holding her back from being a good artist. Like don't get me wrong - it's ok as a parent to be proud of your child's work, but don't smother her too, cuz she's not the only artist in the world <.<

What's worse is that there are literally other people out there who think exactly like Preston (including my trolls and haters who often like to attack me for "using reference".)

yeahhhh that sounds like a mess XD like i mean I'm not totally blameless- i should have left even a minor comment like "was referenced" or something, but the fact preston didn't allow his moderators to act to solve the problem and then made it public with several posts was a major clown moment lmfaooooo

Ah I see. Although I acknowledge your concern, the actual motivation was self indulgent. I did it for me, a male, the fact it's appealing to women is completely accidental. The only real alteration from the original breath of the wild gerudo link is the shirt being flipped up. Until now, people were mad I was drawing a "gay link", appealing to men, so although I see what you mean, it was not the intention as I was luring men in with men. Despite gay depictions being popular among men and women alike, it's hard to say I was targeting one specific audience.

Why yes I did when I realized I was getting her rewards from her patreon (since I pay for her work) I thought I might as well utilize the psd files and images to my advantage since I was getting up close and personal. This was more of a fun study than anything else so I guess I went a little over board on the observation and copy part. Next time I'll try to be a bit more original
