Description
I was started this idea months ago and now I've moved it further. Can't say it's finish. Made generally for practice composition. No reference is used. The idea is an old passage once been guarded.
Any tip, advice, critique will be appreciated.

Nice-looking landscape. The horse/rider really gives it a sense of scale as well

Looks nice, I like the silhouetted city in the background and the canyon like passage. My only problem with this piece is that there is no visible road to the ruins; either place them at the bottom of that small plateau or make a way to them. I'd also advise to more the further away ruin/tower to some more solid ground. One of the things I like best about this piece is your choice of colors, gives an adventurous feeling. Nice work!

Thank you!
There was a staircase to the tower at beginning of painting, but later I decided to remove it. Watch of towers will be more prominent if they can't be reached. They should be accessed from behind was my mind. There was also more towers and bridges between them.
Your opinion is very precious and I'll give more thoughts about your suggestions. Thanks again!

I agree they shouldn't be too easy to reach, but any tower would require an access route (usually one that can easily be surveyed to prevent sneak attacks) for food and weapon supplies, maybe even some remnants of how they carried the construction materials all the way up there. The connecting bridges sounds like a great idea IMO.
I hope it helps. Looking forward for more concepts!
