well she was p wrong cackles absinthe doesn't know how to respond to emotions correctly and she's never really had to grieve before so when she actually thought someone she cared about was dead she just kind of shut down because she's never processed grieving before so

she wouldn't just move on eventually like the fact she smiled almost a year later isn't much progress cos she actually started to revert to her ways in prison like refusing to sleep and  eat or w/e not to mention she wouldn't even move like wow absinthe you're such a mopey shit get up
