UPDATE, December 14th, 2014: I changed the proportions and layout a bit so it could potentially work better as an actual poster.----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Alrighty. I was very eager to get this one out, and here it is; page 3 of my G1 pony character designs.
Once again, this is all a prelude to my plans to adapt a certain truly awesome pony fanfiction into a comic series. www.fimfiction.net/story/71660…
A bit of a word about Twilight: Originally, I was just going to call her "G1 Twilight", but that sounded kind of awkward. However, as I was proofreading another great fanfiction by al1701 , I saw he came up with the name "Twilight Mist" for this character. I thought it was a great idea, so I am crediting him for that here. Technically, this is not her canonical name, but I think it sounds better to give her a unique "last" name to easily distinguish her from Twilight Sparkle. Cherries Jubilee comes up in G4, She hires Applejack to help her on her cherry orchard.

That's true. A number of G1 characters have been "redesigned" to appear in the G4 universe.
Not the least of these would be Applejack, but also Cherries Jubilee, and Lickety Split. Twilight's biological mother was designed to resemble G1 Twilight, and of course, Rainbow Dash was inspired by Firefly.
So you do see a bit of overlap that way, but I still think of them as different characters. This Cherries Jubilee could be the great great great great great grandmother of the Cherries Jubilee we see in FIM.

Will you be adding Gusty to your fanfic? I love it so far and I would love it even more if you added her!!

Well firstly, it's not my fic. It's just a fanfiction I happen to be a big fan of and felt the desire to illustrate.
Gusty does make a distinct appearance, and has lines and everything. But not until chapter 6, or something, I believe.

I know Tirek appears in the story at least once. I was not sure if it was worth making a character sheet for him though. I might, depending on how things progress, but it's a low priority, compared to the big brothers, babies, sea ponies, and flutter ponies.
I'm glad you like Ribbon. She had to go through a couple of revisions to settle on that mane style. I'd hoped a satisfactorily captured the personalities of Sweet Stuff and Sundance.

I have a LOT more character sheets to do, but I just wanted to get this one more pony sheet done before getting into the comic proper. Now that the human sheets are done, I can do that.
So my next big project will be page one of chapter one.
I don't know how long it will take, but hopefully I will get fast/better as I go. XD;
