The circles indicate where the lables are pointing to. By making them overlap the pony it prevents theft, like a watermark.

THANK YOU! So many people never understand what her cutie mark is lol. IT IS EXACTLY THAT! My actual initials are EP, so rather than changing the artist mark I've used since I was six, I "sculpted" my pony artist name around it

Well, first off, there's really not any way I can make a base! I create each little piece individually, so there's not really any way it could be "draw in the blank." Besides that, I use them for commissions...

It is on both sides of the tail though! I'm kicking myself in the butt for her hair design now, because I'm working on the plushie, and it's severely complicated

It's only on the left side (theoretically). Generally, if I draw her from the back or front, it's only on the left side; but kind of like how Fluttershy's hair flips to the right, if she's seen from the right it's sometimes flipped to the left. It all depends!
