As much as I like Korra, Aang looked so much cooler in the avatar state with all the glowing arrows...

I would have preferred her to have some sort of angst/pain related access to the avatar state but I can deal with this version

It just seemed a little rushed to me....that's all...I mean yes i know they have a time limit on the show but the whole Avatar state business seemed too...fast. I mean don't get me wrong it's awesome that she went into the state this season but hey that's how it is and everyone's opinions are different

No it was definitely rushed. I still believe that they should have had more episodes with character development, but I'm glad we at least got something.
And I still believe that she was dealing with a great deal of emotional pain before she hit the Avatar State. (Somewhat like Aang in episode 1 or 2 where he found out what was really going on.) I'm not saying the two circumstances are the same, what I'm saying is that neither of them were in danger of dying at either point, they were just really down in the dumps.

I was hoping for something a little more dramatic for Korra's first time accessing the avatar state, but the way Mike and Bryan did it was pretty epic-ly cool too.
