There is an actual comic book where you see what if baby superman were to land in Gotham City and when he sees his rich ma & pa shot dead by a mugger he--do you see where this is going? Here's the link:

DC comics has a weird parallel-universe "what-if" type series of comics where they revamp the heroes. For example, what if the rocket holding baby superman had, I don't know, landed in the front yard of Mr and Mrs Wayne's house? They would have adopted him, b/c they couldn't have a son on their own. And so, when Bruce...or Clark...I don't know, didn't read the comic...sees his parents get shot, HE would don the mantle of the bat. Long story short, this would have made a great cover for that story. Aiiiiy, I need to stop saying so much.

i think this has been done in the comics where baby superman was not found by the kents, instead he's found by the waynes. so he grows up to be batman. and i think lex was the joker in that.

speeding bullets my freind. kal els rocket lands in gotham and he is raised by the waynes and later becomes batman when his parents are shot and killed. good job.

Just looking back over this picture, and just want to add, this pic really has a great feel to it.
Its like its from the cartoons, but has a comic book feel to it too, and it really is a great version of the bats. Great how its so symmetrical.

BATMAN rocks. Man I love this. I had this amalgamation mag once of Batman with the powers and background of Superman. Really weird but very cool.
