tfw you dislike a character for being a Mary Sue yet you're still drawn to themwas going to be just a drawing but I just put a color palette up and decided it would be a reference now
sorta based off of Trunswicked 's design tbh >w<
has anyone noticed Moonwatcher is not only shiner, but her scale design is a little different from the other NightWings? like I'm looking at Starflight and the NightWing guide NightWing and it's especially prominent on her face

Wow, you're right about that difference in her scales. That's weird. Perhaps moon-born dragons are like that, similar to how animus SeaWings are sometimes oddly coloured?

Yes and I was about to comment darkstalker and him not having shining silver scalesΒ
but he's a hybrid so must of not been born with them while I'm thinking that since moons full nightwing it happens to full nightwings or maybe because she grew up in the rainforest and that's what dragons should look like as a nightwing and the only reason starlight does not have was because he grew up in a caveΒ

Sadly I think so too but I think what the artist's reason is.
Lists:
1. She can read minds and see the future
2. She lived a healthier life than other Nightwings did(besides Starflight I think)
3. She has two dragons that has a crush on her(even though it can happen in real life i think that's one of the reasons)
4. Her father is motherfucking Morrowseer(;w
5. She can communicate with a very old af Dragon/Darkstalker.

I feel like depending on how she's handled for the rest of the series Moon could ether turn out an unfortunate Mary Sue, or she could end up nicely balanced. Characters that can read minds or see the future are as a rule hard to handle, by having a character be able to do both it's like driving yourself into corner. There are defiantly ways out, and to make her a well rounded character but it's going to be tricky. fingers crossed because there is something quite likable about Moonwatcher so far it would be a shame to see that potential squashed

Well, first of allΒ she has her powers to read minds and such. She is a skilled hunter that others deeply admire. She is shy, loyal and kind. And it foreshadowing a triangle between Winter, her and Qibli. She has little or not important faults.
All of those traits together...just seems rather Mary Sue.

That was only one part of it. Now, I'm not saying her mind reading is Mary Sue, it's many of her traits put together that makes her somewhat of a Mary Sue in my opinion.

It was hard for me until I got a touch screen, I failed at digital art. Now I sketch with dark grayΒ with my finger, and I use the line tool in blac or whatever color I want as the outline.
