This took for-freaking-EVER!!! I worked so hard on it and I am SOOOOOOOOO pleased with how it came out! *dies* My black colored pencil is, like, an inch long now...It's Vampire Hunter D, the "Bloodlust" version. I was watching Bloodlust the other day (I've also been reading the books and am obsessed) and was inspired. D has such a cool design and I had to try my hand on it. I think it turned out pretty sweet personally...
I had to take some liberties with his gloves and boots... Well... a lot of his costume actually... It's hard to draw something from just watching the movie... I paused it, like, twice to get a good view of his chest, but he's either moving really fast or his cloak covers anything so it was frustrating...
The coloring took me all day yesterday. The drawing I did the day before and inked it and started on the coloring but didn't get very far. Finished it last night at about 11pm.... *death*
I love D with a fiery passion...
Prismacolor pencils and a black sharpie

Hah I couldn't even tell you it was so long ago. I agree though... colored pencil is such a pain to scan. My thinking is that I probably scanned this at school, on one of the industrial scanners in our art department. But... I don't know? haha

i really like this, i havnt read the manga yet but i get the impression hes like alucard thus i know id be a fan.. but all that aside, nice(castlevanias alucard, the alucard based off of adrian farenheit tepes, the same guy D is supoosed to be based off of, not hellsings alucard)

This is such a gorgeous picture of D! The colors are amazing on this piece. Now I see what my prismacolors can do. LOL. I'll be sure to use them in the future. You used them beautifully and you certainly have excellent skill. Great job! And thank you for drawing something so beautiful!
