Description
My harden'd heart was torn to shreds,
But not by any lover's claws.
My soul expos'd the heart's great flaws,
And I have for't no healing meds.
I look'd and found and lov'd and lost.
Imagination fed my dreams
Until they with much beauty teem'd;
My heart became with lust emboss'd.
The nights were plagued by dark acts
Still unworthy to see the light.
Although their doing was my rite,
My heart was color'd in their blacks.

This nightmare now is soon to end;
My heart, methinks, will never mend.
