I honestly don't know what to do for the background.

While working on my trades I got this idea to draw Daniel and Lincoln as kids again,but this time younger. The year is 1929. Daniel is 4 and Lincoln is 6 about to go to school for the first time.

As a kid Lincoln loved hearing stories about his grandfather who was a sailor. And sometimes he wore sailor uniforms for photos. And looking at the band-aids you can see that he was a troublemaker from a very young age.

Daniel was your local adorable toddler and other women would always hug him, give him chocolate and sweets. Daniel was mostly surrounded by women and his dad was usually away for photoshoots,but he made sure to spend his free time with Daniel.

Daniel was taught to be polite and use the right words in a conversation, not to brag or act rude, not to be disrespectful and always share his toys with other kids.
And Lincoln was the opposite picture. His parents,mostly his mother tried to raise a "manly" man out of him,buuuut she didn't know how to do it so she ended up being like a strict dictator for her own son. Not getting what he wants,not getting the freedom to express himself, Lincoln grows up as an anxious and angry child. Sometimes he'd find comfort in Margaret's(Daniel's mother) arms.

Daniel grows up to be very similar to his mother. Sweet,understanding and always there to listen. That is why later in his life Lincoln finds his comfort in Daniel's arms. ^^
