Goodness I'm so sorry that I'm late. I even wouldn't notice that it was your birthday if haya didn't make the gift for you~ XD I know I should've made you @CG art == so sorry that this is all I can do for now.
Anyway, here is another chibi of mine <3
I tried doing eyes differently this time. Although it doesn't turn out to be very vivid, I like it. lol. As usual, hair is my most favorite part
Background is made from the mixture of the transparent chibis with some Photoshop's basic shape.
Last but not least... My tablet is broken T___T that's why I become less active in submitting stuffs... I guess I just get lazy in coloring manually without tablet :3

True it's not necessarily @CG art (although she can pass for Reina, kinda), but it's pretty just as it is. ^.^

What's the girl's name? For now, I'll call her Cly-chan, lol.
Overall quality is very good. The eyes are a lot better compared to the other image I commented on last time. I still think they could be 75% smaller, but that's just y own tastes -- in reality, because tastes differ among different artists, plus she's a chibi, you have lots of leeway over how large you want them.
Hair is surprisingly exquisite for a chibi and her clothing is nicely coloured and folded. ^.^
The background is interesting, but somehow I think it could be a little brighter with candy colours (or maybe even candy literally: [link]
What's so amazing, though, is how extraordinarily vector-like the image is, and it makes me wonder how easily you'd be able to reproduce this in a vector program like Inkscape. I know that when I transitioned from Photoshop vector tools to Inkscape ones many years ago, the difference was staggering. ^___^
I certainly would encourage you to give it a try, if at least to use a program that's a lot more mouse-friendly (I actually stopped using a tablet thanks to Inkscape for many years).

That's why I love doing chibis. I don't have to follow certain rules to make it look realistic haha~ I'm not doing very well on anatomy, lighting, and shades, but this is something you may have known from my other drawings

I do feel interested in learning Open Source programs ^^ unfortunately just feeling interested won't help me getting somewhere. I need time to learn them all, and time isn't something I have at the moment. Oh, the down point of college X_X

And well oooooookaaaaaay... I'll admit you might have a little bit of problem with certain things as far as full-sized drawing goes, but I said before it's nothing a little extra fine-tuning wouldn't fix. You just have to get the right "problem-solving" angle in order to achieve the results you want (or think you want). ^^
haha! Well actually I just posted the candy more as a reference, it can be anything that's bright or frilly, preferably something hand-drawn. And cartoony style would definitely look best, although it would have to be very light. ^^
Aaaah yes, I do remember how college used to zap ALL my free time -- eventually I got to questioning why I was paying so much to be treated like a slave. All my computer stuff (including open source) I learned AFTER college when I was finally free,... XD
But in any event, as long as you use stuff like Firefox or Pidgin, you're already doing a small part to help support Open Source. ^^
I've been supporting an open source project called Krita which will definitely be a great alternative to SAI, in that it handles painting, vectoring and editing much like SAI does, but it will be free (for real), nicer-looking and easy to translate into various languages, My hope is that it will become a magnificent drawing tool -- but since it's still in beta now it doesn't have a standalone Windows installer. ^__^
And okay, let me know when the tablet is a-okay then. ^^
I don't think it's too big of a problem, though, since I've been drawing without a tablet for years.
