Starting off with vision, what definitely strikes your eye first is the wonderful contrast of light in the background, the silhouettes and then at a closer look it's the awesome highlights on the eyes. These, in turn, make you search the connection in the drawing and the interpretation of these guys' relationship. Or if you know them, then you look for the clues that confirm what you know. It's the highlights that make you curious and that capture the attention - enough of it to make you stay and have a further look down the details like the hands and the head's rotations, the rhythm and ambience.
This isn't the first time you made a drawing in high black and white contrast, and it's even not the first time I critique such a drawing. Remember "Bloom in Winter"? :3 You've since improved in the background's contrast by darkening the edges more and adding these little highlight dots. There's direction in the background that leads the eye, from top right to bottom left, and seems interrupted through the square-like region where highlight dominates, to make the eye stop there. This square boldly steps into the way like "hey, not so fast, look at these precious bois before you reach the end of the drawing and then close this tab"
Here's my first suggestion, and it's one deep from my heart as it's influenced my art since the "Happy Birthday Euca" drawing: Highlights.
In that drawing I added highlights on the outlines of the fur and the scarf, even though there wasn't a light source in the back. It's the main element creating that power and shine I wanted to have.
You too want the power and shine on the boys (and their eyes), don't you?
I understand it makes it more mysterious and the eyes stand out if you put them in front of white light and darken their body. Problem is that this white highlight is very dominant and it takes you too long to even discover the eye's particularities or this very slight difference in the mouth's expression, which you don't clearly see, and I had to turn up screen brightness before I did. Adding to that problem is that the white background is empty. There's nothing to discover there, it only serves the purpose of blocking direction. It has to work together with the boys, which here it doesn't. It seems separate - for instance, the shape doesn't support the fact that they're looking at each other: You could narrow its brightest surface down only to the heights of their face. It could be a little more rugged and not as soft, it could emit shining rays or vary in white density to create focus since that white is aggressive all over its surface.
I had the same situation in my painting "A Rare Encounter", with these trees on the side that are affected by the light. It came from behind as well, and I had to think about how to make that light more than just this yellow ray, or in your case, a white square. It was a breakthrough when I started adding yellow highlights on the trees' branches, which I didn't before. I remembered "Happy Birthday Euca" and how that highlight makes everything pop so nicely. It's thanks to these that my light became strong and meaningful - more than just a light or color. It became part of the environment. It bathed the environment. The character coming out of the light has their fur very bright at its ends. You can see the real change in the process GIF included, between image 6 and 8.
Just like you I wanted to preserve mystery in that painting. I wanted to have everything dark in the front and a strong contrast in the middle. I didn't want to loose that mystery through brightening everything.
What I learned and what I think can help you the most: Add really strong highlights on the character's edges behind the white light! Do so in different sizes and opacity, try out and see how it transforms. Look at my painting (Introvert in Autumn is an example as well) at the fur and try out if you wouldn't want to apply on your hair as well: You can add very thin brush strokes for the single strands at the very end that stand out and are the closest to the light!
What's amazing is that this way you brighten only the edges and not the whole silhouettes, which preserves the mystery: You use the light only to your advantage. It's there not just as a light. It's ambience light. It's not just a brighter section. It's illumination of everything around it.
In short: Step up your game through focusing on the white background's texture, shape and improve its relationship with the painting through adding the highlights that it creates on the characters. FLKASJFAJ I'm clearly a vision person and got nothing to do with originality haha, so let's get to technique, shall we? ;D
(ALthough I'll say that this one seems original and awesome okay I'll just give you 5 stars in order to make these stars fall <3)


TECHNIQUE.
We're talking poses and anatomy.
Dang Star. At this point I need to say.
You've wonderfully developed and improved. Your humans have become so elegant and graceful and sleek, your poses have turned into a harmonic appearance supporting the character and establishing an "aaah this soft harmony" moment when seeing your current artwork.
It's only two things I was able to spot: Izuku's hands are absolutely stunning, it's just his right middle finger that seems slightly too thick.
Haha, see, you're so good I find flaws only in the smallest of things. ;D
The second point is just as invisible first, however, after spotting (which took a while) I can't hide it away: It's Bagkugo's right arm, of which the upper and lower arm are completely twisted to each other. The elbow is the problem: It's turning to the front and not the side, you see? That elbow isn't connecting with the lower arm, like it shout be. Instead it's the back of the elbow that does, which isn't anatomically possible.
Hhh that was a little difficul/awkward to describe haha, but I hope you get what I mean!

IMPACT.
Back to the intro. What does it make me imagine?
Honestly? I don't know. It's intriguing. That's what it is. This drawing doesn't give away anything, it only raises questions.
Were they enemies before and it's what changes? Did they just fight? Together? Why are they so scratchy? And why does Bakugo scratch his head and keep the hand in his pocket, a little awkwardly touched and reserved, yet showing this tiny bit of interest through gazing over to Izuku?
I can't draw any single conclusion except for development. Something very defining is happening here, after some big event that took a new direction. That's the only thing I know.
Something is happening. You better go watch what it is.


Remember how in that last critique "Bloom in Winter" it was exactly this intriguing part I missed if we'd take it as a cover?
You've nailed it now. This is now a brilliant cover, even without the title.

I honestly probably will never have enough words for this.
The shading is great, and I love how you did the scratches and bruises.
You perfectly show their personality's just in the one picture, I find that very tough skill to perfect (I still need to practice it)
AND THE HANDS, I (and most artist will agree with me) find most difficulty in drawing those darn HANDS you on the other hand, perfect :0.
Last but not least THE CLOTHES, can i just take a second to say WOOOOOOOOOOOW honestly I love how you do the fabric, and for most artist it take a LONG TIME to even start to do it right, you have nailed it.
