haven't a clue on doing animation I do stills using D|S (DAZ|Studio) found at [link] the program itself is free and there is a lot of free content out for it.

I guess I didn't mean animation but 3D arti in general, I tried it but I cant model worth a damn =/ Is this the program you use to model in? Maya confuses me... v_v

for modeling I use Wings3D but I'm not very good at it D|S is like Poser (if you are familar with it) wether you buy them or find them for free and compose them the way you want and texture them with textures you make, buy or find for free. daz3d.com , remderosity.com , poserpros.com , and runtimedna.com are some good sites for models and such.
