Me and where talking on steam about a concept I did a while ago. I decided to have symbiotes in the game i'm building and he though it was a good idea to add more detail and I decided it was time to introduce my versions and ideas. Even though Marvel started off with the idea of symbiotes, real life scientists think that symbiosis occurs in parts of the universe. Hate it to actually be like venom would be very worrying but cool! Any way when planning how I was going to design and create a race I decided one alien species should be based on the Symbiotes but with quite a few different abilities.

The symbiote race would take over the world they evolve from. Symbiotes where created due to the Atmosphere of Xph, a planet that accelerated bacteria growth. The planet's bacteria grew more dense which eventually gave way to intelligence and emotion. The evolution happened so quickly that the Xnphta symbiotes advanced that the cells could transform into any shape, but their bodies where not able to have electrical impulses like other species which would cause younger generations to die earlier and earlier.

The symbiotes began to become desperate and started to bond with the Xph's wildlife. At first the Symbiotes watched the other intelligent life the Faenia. The Faenia where in medieval phase and unaware of the symbiotes. The symbiotes soon attacked and bonded with Faenia, it wasn't long before the entire planet's wild life where under the control of the symbiotes. The symbiotes named themselves Xnphta and named the overrun planet Xph. A new problem had now emerged, the planet had run out of creatures the symbiotes could bond with and they had to look to the stars. For a short time the symbiotes could not find a solution until one day. In the night sky faint blue lights appeared. NATO Alliance ships passed the planet and ships where passing through the system to go to far flung worlds. Some of these lights grew bigger, it soon became obvious that some of the ships where heading towards Xph. This would be Xnpha's chance to continue to survive and the symbiotes started to create a plan......
