A lot of the characters in Diane Duane's Young Wizards series seem to end up sharing brainspace with various other entities. I imagine it gets a little crowded in there sometimes. I started wondering what that might be like everyday, and this quick sketch happened. I found it amusing, so I thought I'd post it for the fun of it.
I know it's silly and it's supposed to be.Edit: I forgot to say, (*SPOILERS*) that's the One's Champion in Ronan's head, Khretef and Ponch in Kit's, the mobiles/Motherboard filling Dairine's head with binary and Nita talking to the peridexis aka Bobo.

I can only imagine Dairine getting up, spouting binary for an hour, then blinking very slowly and asking, "What happened last night, or the night-equivalent of this planet?"

Technically the book says Spot and the mobiles use trinary, but I couldn't think of how to write that and have it make sense.
There was a description somewhere in WaW about Dairine sometimes waking up and not being sure whether she was human or machine, and it always stuck with me.

I dunno, it would've been pretty funny to put a single "2" somewhere in that whole series of 0's and 1's and see if someone spotted and understood it

I don't know... I actually find it kinda creepy, the way it keeps wanting to do spell diagrams and stuff. And we still don't know why Nita hears it. *Sigh* another mystery for DD to resolve for us in Games... though judging by the utter lack of Roshaun in Mars, there's no guarantee.

I wonder how the Nita and Kit relationship will play out. They've always been close, and since they're wizards, honesty is a must, but since this is DD, it's going to get more complicated than that.

Yeah, it'll definitely be complicated. Even just from the synopsis of Games it sounds like there are already some problems. However, I have faith that DD won't do us wrong, and however things play out it will be ok. Her record is 9 for 9 so far, in my opinion!
