Last summer, I had this thing in my Tumblr where people could request stuff from me... Being me, I finish the 5th one promptly six months too late. This is for ~Queenera , who asked for (SΓΆren!)Javert babysitting the Von Trapp children, Maria and the Captain included.The realisation of what AM I wearing has just hit the second-oldest kid.

P.S. I interviewed one of my fav actors yesterday. Has nothing to do with this drawing, just thought you'd like to know. I'll post the link when I finish writing the thing.

I love this more than you know. The local high school where I live just did SoM for their fall musical, so I'm in a Sound of Music mood. And always in a Les Mis mood. 
I think the Captain and the Inspector would get along pretty well.

It's one of my favorite musicals. I've seen it live a few times and have learned that its a great musical, but the overall quality depends heavily on the skill of the performer playing Maria.

I can see that! Some musicals are always great, no matter what (almost said that Les Mis is one of these β but I hated the MalmΓΆ production so much, I don't know...), but then there are the ones where the leads are super important...

Definitely. It can really go either way in terms of being a good or bad thing. If you get a good performer, the entire show is mind-blowing. But I once saw a production with a subpar (at least in my opinion) actress playing Maria. I think they had her singing outside her comfortable range, so she ended up sounding brassy and harsh the whole time. Even though the other performers were great, she brought the entire performance down because of how big Maria's role is.

Yeah, exactly... My friend once saw SoM with a Maria who was pretty heavily pregnant. She said it was a bit hard to suspend her disbelief when it came to the whole nun thing...

Thanks! Haha, I bet it annoys him, yeah... But there's another reason I made him shorter. The requester asked for SΓΆren!Javert. Alex, the JVJ to SΓΆren's Javert, is really tall, something like 6.4 ft... So it just felt wrong that Javert would be the taller of the two guys in the pic, even though JVJ isn't featured!
