Description Have you already heard of this upcoming sequel to Les Mis?
It begins right where the first part ended - but this time, the reprise of Do You Hear the People sing isn't sung from the heavens but from six feet under!

The plot centers around Cosette and Marius, ready to start a normal, calm life together but finding themselves in the middle of a zombie apocalypse.
The songs of this new musical adventure feature, among others, "Cosette, I Love You" by Marius, Valjean and Fantine, "Enjolras, Why Can't You Care? (We Died Together)" by Grantaire and "Zombie's Daughter" by Cosette.

Will Eponine get a second change with Marius? Will Cosette finally get to know her mother? Will Marius and Cosette find a way to kill their undead loved ones again before they'll eat their brains?
Find out next summer!

If I got the change I would so see this!

Les Mis is not mine.
Partial idea credit, once again, goes to ~EntirelyInsane .

AHAHAHAHAHAAAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHA SHERLOCK LOOOOVES~~~~~~

Really. You draw tattered, filthy rags SO well. (That's intended to be a compliment, strange as it sounds.) Once again, do you use colored pencil to color, or what? Because it looks so solidly colored! And the gradient of the background is really well done, too.
HA, you used Les Mis font. Told you you'd be able to!!
I must ask, though - why the Palace Theatre, and why on earth August 26?

(Oh, and I love how you never said outright in the artist's comments that this is just a parody and really there isn't a sequel. I wonder if any gullible people have stumbled across it and freaked out at the prospect.)

Thanks so much!

Copic Markers. Ridiculously expensive but so pretty-looking! I'm always wishing them for Christmas and birthdays and whatnot.

Palace Theatre, because Les Mis ran there for 19 years, and I thought it's good luck for this new production. And August 26 because it was Wicked's Finnish premiere, and I went to that premiere. Should've chosen Les Mis' Finnish premiere, maybe, but I was too lazy to check out the date.

I decided to trust the Internet's intelligence on this one.

:3 You are very welcome, m'dear.

Ah, okay. Yeah, that would be good luck. I must say, though, that the August 26 is a bit random, as it's related to something entirely non-Mizzie...

Yes, and I think most people understood that it was a joke, so you're good.

I hardly know what this is myself, neither - me and ~EntirelyInsane were talking about how Cameron Mackintosh might be more after money nowadays than before, but not so much as Andrew Lloyd Webber, since, as I put it, "If he was like ALW, we'd already have a Les Mis sequel, 'The Revolution Didn't Die' or something"... And before I knew it, ~EntirelyInsane had forced me to make this drawing!

THanks so much, I'm happy to hear that!

EntirelyInsane In reply to Starlene [2010-12-05 02:56:01 +0000 UTC]

Yes, "forced you". I totally jumped on the next flight to Finland, somehow managed to hunt you down (with the new JavertStalkingSkillz Package 246.01), broke into your house, forced a pencil into your hand, and made you draw this.
:3

Starlene In reply to EntirelyInsane [2010-12-05 07:42:03 +0000 UTC]

It's like you did just that, but mentally. It seems I've an easily manipulated mind: "She said I should do this! But I've a gazillion other things to do! But she said I should do this! Besides, this is more awesome than the gazillion things! Let's do it!"

HAHAHA "JavertStalkingSkillz 246.01" XD

EntirelyInsane In reply to Starlene [2010-12-05 15:55:18 +0000 UTC]

Or perhaps I'm just that persuasive.
Ha, it's okay. I do that to MYSELF all the time. To my own detriment, I might add.

YES. They need to sell those. Definitely. I'd buy them. So would Javert.
Ha, and it could be a requirement for all police officers to invest in...

When some musical producers come to buy this idea from me, you can be sure I'll tell them it's no deal unless they let you at least audition for Zombie Eponine!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Pepsi-Tardis In reply to Starlene [2010-12-04 19:15:08 +0000 UTC]

Oh, heck yes. <3
I'd be pleading, insisting I had my own 'Ponine hat and can do my own make-up.
I would consider making this a parody musical. I'm sure you could get the rights - or base it off the book and not infringe a thing?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Starlene In reply to Pepsi-Tardis [2010-12-04 19:19:54 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, the book is public domain, so with some changes made to the costuming and such this would be completely legal. You can bet I'd start composing right away if I knew how to do it!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Pepsi-Tardis In reply to Starlene [2010-12-04 22:58:10 +0000 UTC]

I'll help compose! On the condition there can be a ukulele section in the orchestra. That is all.
I'm sure we can find composers - thats what money and the internet is for!

It's be the next longest running musical after LEs Mis and Phantom. And millions will see it.
