Alright, so I predicted Jasper's corruption about a year ago.I wasn't surprised when it happened, but let me tell ya...I was DEVASTATED when it happened.
If you all don't know this, Jasper is my baby. She's my favorite...my Amazonian Tiger Goddess, my Cheeto Mother. I love her to death.
So of course I had to break my heart all over again and draw her.

This was done very well! I especially love the anatomy and the coloring! Next to Lapis, Jasper is also one of my favorite SU characters. She's definitely on my wish list for redemption.

I can honestly say that Jasper is my #1 favorite. Her character depth is so extensive and complex...and interestingly enough, somewhat relatable. It makes you think...if you could do something to be at peace with yourself after someone or something you were supposed to protect was destroyed....would you take that chance?
I am hoping SO terribly that she gets her redemption. After all she's been through, she needs some solace!

This is really well drawn. So much so it's making me quite emotional.
I hope she can use the time spent in the bubble to console herself and be ready to move on somehow.

My heart is so ready for her redemption that it's ridiculous.
There is so much internal pain in need of healing within her, which has been shifted into a war-tactical mind and a power-centralized method of coping. As someone who was created to struggle and fight since the day she was made, a depth to her character is created. I believe that all the conflict and chaos that interweaves throughout her character background is what makes her my favorite (aside from the fact that her design in itself is beautiful and raw).

Yeah I think deep down I like her for that reason too. All the characters that I like in most story lines are suffering or have suffered along the way through hardships in order for them to realise themselves and what it is they truly want.

Same here. The ones with the tragic backstories always end up being my favorites. When a precious baby tears my soul to pieces, I know they're a keeper! It almost seems as though individuals like you and I can get ourselves wrapped up in their stories and empathize with their turmoils. Makes for some serious feels sessions!

Aha indeed! I totally agree with you there. I think you are right about getting wrapped up in their stories. That's why I love characters in a good plot line. Also as we have discussed this I have realised that characters that have suffered when they were younger do tend to make me love them more. Maybe it's because I see that have gone through so much to now I feel they have done so well for themselves in their current circumstances.
I think Law would be a testament to that. I love him too btw.
