Unfortunately, with the awkward size of the arm pieces, he can pretty much only do this pose, lol. We tried to come up with some new things, but they are just too long. So apologies for the repetitive poses! I still think this is the best photo of his costume yet. I love the colors.Model is

I replayed it late last year, which is what spawned the inspiration to make these costumes, lol. I thought for sure I wouldn't like the game as much after several years but if anything, replaying it made me like it even more. If you get the time, you should definitely revisit it.

That is really clever. Gives them that sort of uneven, bunched look that real dreads have.

I can't take credit for the idea, but I agree that it worked out really well.
I haven't played all of them yet (working on it!) but I agree when some people say that IX is what a Final Fantasy game should be like.

Amarant is definitely under-cosplayed. For that reason, decided to cosplay Amarant instead of Steiner. I have only ever seen 2 other Amarant cosplays, none in person. D:

Nice one. I rarely used Amarant though... hmmm. Yeah. The only time he was ever really useful to me was when you had to go to the anti-magic place. His throw ability made quick work of the boss.

Yeah, I rarely used him too. I don't really like him much (personality-wise and fighting-wise). He's like the one IX character that is FLAT! BUT my boyfriend fit the body type for Amarant more than any other character, so he wanted to cosplay him.

It's a good cosplay. I have a rule that people shouldn't cosplay characters and the like they can't pull off. He pulled it off.
And yeah. FFIX was my favorite FF game, and Amarant was my least favorite out of the bunch for pretty much the same reasons you gave.

Amarant really didn't get enough development in the game, which is why it always surprises me when I hear people say "He was my favorite!"
