I opened Sai with the intent to doodle an avatar for my WiR fanart blog and this happened instead. It's not really special or innovative, but I love Calhoun wearing Felix's hat, and I love art of her picking up and holding him, and I love them with wedding bands, and I love fluff, so I did the logical thing and crammed it all into one picture.SORRY FOR SHIPPING. EXCEPT THE PART WHERE I'M NOT SORRY AT ALL.
(I might finish it but I really like the look of inks layered over sketch and it might make a good icon like that. <3)

And "crammed it all into" is an odd phrase to use, because in point of fact one of the (many) nice things about this pic is how clean and comfortable it ultimately is. Each detail has its own little place, visible without being distracting, interacting just right with the rest of the image. Also the faces here are simply splendid; Felix's nose seems a touch off, but that smile, and Calhoun's likewise-contented face (and incidentally, I love how well you handle Calhoun's emotional spectrum, but that's a whole other essay XD; ), are just perfect. ^3^

Yeah, as I think I mentioned now that I'm used to the designs I am trying to work out how I am personally going to draw the characters, if that makes sense. So there's bound to be a few hiccups. X3
And yeah, I was trying to do all that WITHOUT being too confusing/too many lines/too much stuff, so glad that worked out.
