Another Pokevariant, this time with my all-time fave!
Type 1: Grassland/Foothill (Pokemon Tower/Kanto Routes 9 & 10/Sevault Canyon/Unova Route 15/Kanto Safari Zone) While the Mountain type is equally common, the Lavender Town incident involving Team Rocket has secured the Grassland Type’s role as the most common public image of the species.
Type 2: Highland/Mountain (Rock Tunnel/Kanto Routes 9 & 10/Kanto Victory Road/Unova Route 15/Glittering Cave) Longer limbs and stronger, hooked claws make these Cubone and Marowak especially adept climbers. Unlike Grassland Type, the Marowak retains back spikes on evolution.
Type 3: Deep Cave (Rock Tunnel/Glittering Cave) Aside from their washed-out coloring, lack of spines or ridges, and large nostrils, the Cave type Marowak’s horns are pliant and able to detect tremors and vibrations. This type is also known to use their clubs as an additional tool to feel their way in darkness.
Type 4: Desert (Glittering Cave/Johto Safari Zone) Their hide is pebbled as opposed to the smooth texture of most Cubone and Marowak, further toughening them against sandstorms. The spikes on their back and tail have developed into sails that aid in dispersing heat.
Type 5: Coastal (RARE; may be found where range coincides with shoreline) Seen domesticated far more often than wild, this type is favored by Coordinators for their coral-like horns, water-ripple patterning, and stark contrast between skull and hide. They possess slight webbing on the forepaws and are notable for favoring fishbone flails over the more usual bone club.
