I love Miyazaki's films and now I have a DVD player, I hope to get some to go with it. I am confused and intrigued by the Japanese cultural figures seen in some of his films. Like the Kodama in "Princess Mononoke", or the bouncing heads in "Spirited Away". I got "My Neighbor Totoro" for my grand nephew's birthday and he absolutely loves it.

I loved that film...
The kodama were brilliant, my friends nicknamed them mushroom-men for some obscure reason.
Very kodama-ish, the shading's nice.
