Scanned in on September 24th 2015, this one is fun, IMO.

I was considering, obviously, redoing my Unique Style to have their body types and patterns be more unique, and as well, my friend was wanting help with his designs for his own AU, which gave me an excuse to try out a new style. And honestly, I still consider it regularly, tweaking my old Unique Style.
But with this one, and the others that I've done over the years, having actually started in like 2015 and extending into 2018, I just. I dunno. I liked them a lot! A lot of them were really good and very expressive. But they just. I didn't like most of them as much as the original Unique Style designs, or at least, the style used didn't feel quite right.

Ok, this one, I have no idea why it looks so pixelated in some aspects; IIRC, I had combined this sketch with a better, more accurate one into a singular good sketch, but that still doesn't fully explain it. There's another sketch in the pile of things that's like this and I still don't know what happened with that one, lmao. Anyway, of all the Unique Style reduxes, this is the best one. Frankly, it's basically perfect, to the point where my only complaint for it is I want to have her mane look more like the original Unique Style; I feel like at some point I clung too hard to the canon manestyles when the first designs I did weren't like that, and possibly making the design slightly less exaggerated, but frankly, it works for Pinkie.

There's also something fun about this that's only just barely noticable, and only even barely noticable to me, probably, but Pinkie Pie in this sketch has upside down eyeshines compared to my usual style; this is a reference to a real shot in the very first episodes! For some reason, in that one scene, Pinkie Pie's pupils and iris are upside down, and nobody noticed, even as it switches multiple times in the same shot.
