There are some foundations in rarijack, at least, they have the same attitude to radically different lives, giving up everything to support their friends, both working themselves near to death because they don't want to disappoint their friends/family. They both have close bonds to their sisters, and Applejack could help Rarity overcome her problems with her sister.
