Edit: FINISHED! 8DI got really bored so I tried drawing ponies in a different (my?) style.
Heavily inspired by 's style, especially with the tails and stuff. But I tried to make my own thing and shit. Possibly doing this with the princesses and CMC foals? Also counts as headcanon height differences.
Rules of the style?:
Unicorns all have cloven hooves with trailing fetlocks and tails unless they're a halfbreed, in which case, they can be born with a standard tail and hooves.
Alicorns have both tail feathers and unicorn tails and hooves, as well as earth pony strength.
Pegasi have feathers instead of fetlocks and have feathers on their chest and shoulders instead of fur. Feathers are the color of their mane. Halfbreeds can have feathered tails or chest feathers too or even non feathered chests and/or hooves (Like Fluttershy, because her father was an earth pony) But all pegasi (halfbreed or not) have tail feathers.
Hooves are the color of their eyes and horseshoes match their cutie mark's main color.

Hey Starry I just noticed something while looking at your unique style folder. All of the Apple siblings have tufts of fur on their chests, but I've only seen this on unicorns and pegasai so far; so, I was wondering if perhaps the Apple siblings have any pegasus or unicorn heritage from either of the parents :3

I'd say yes, because in my HC Granny Smith married a unicorn, and it passed down. It's not exclusive to unicorns or Pegasi, it's just much more likely, and only appears in earth ponies with unicorn or Pegasi somewhere in their genepool, with a few exceptions that occur. But since most ponies do have some mixed somewhere down the line, it's not uncommon to see fluffy chested earth pony.
Its also kind of an Apple Family thing to have floofy chest fur. Babs will probably get some floofy chest fur when she's older.

That could actually be part of it; birds tend to have superfluous feathers for mating ritual purposes. But personally I just like the way it looks, so, yes, also to look flashy.

Not particularly; although technically just the tendency to be larger and the normal tail sprout is unique to them; pegasi have tail feathers and unicorns have their unique tails, so you could technically call it unique to them.
