Its amazing how certain things survive in the roughest areas, but I can't get grass to grow in my yard.

Wonderful view. I like the transition from dark foreground to bright background, and the rich tonality on the rock face.

Yeah, when it first grew the base was where the soil line was. Since then it has eroded away which is awesome!

Oh this is nice, we need to get a set of Grad NDs and a Polarizer I see

starrysurrealism In reply to kkart [2008-01-11 11:31:17 +0000 UTC]

Yeah... I don't know what grad NDs are and by polarizer do you mean a filter? because I if so, I know I need one.

But sadly, my lens is ruined due to my filter shattering on it... >_< I have the worst of luck

Your filter shattered on your lens??? And it.....scratched your lens or something??? Yes a Polarizer and Grad ND's are filters.

- Graduated ND Filters - Basically is a filter that is dark on one end, and gradually blends into clear on the other end. Used to stop down the amount of light passing through the ND side, while allowing normal light to pass through the other side (useful when you are shooting in extremes of light - for example a sunset/sunrise scene where you want to properly expose for the sky as well as the ground).

- Circular Polarizer - Used to polarize light coming into the camera (useful for getting rid of unwanted reflections, deepening blue skies, etc.)

this is great, i love the perspective and the tonal value. I went to New Mexico a few times, but I've lost the film since then. I'd like to sight see again mostly in CO and NM
